Nomadic Intensities

I decided to map the nomadic intensities as they transition from the administration quad down to the main campus quad.

I initially thought of the the upper quad a strict more rigid regular movement and the lower a very free and liberating experience.




This was very flawed because I didn't consider the existing path on the lower quad and how people move around on the large path. There is still a very free path and direction of this path that people are free to move within.


The second map is another way of representing this space in perspective. Representing the limiting factors of the path, the path itself and the intensities along said path.




The last is a combination of map with my building design.

  1. many things to derive forms and sequences... so, what are you thinking? and oblivion?

  2. I am most concerned with location... The library must be something that a pedestrian could completely miss

  3. why miss? (although, that is one strategy)... perhaps, think more metaphorically about oblivion. what is the library as oblivion? maybe obscurity? [i like how this sometimes helps:
